Cyber Essentials, Lexcel & CQS

We are very happy to have achieved some of the highest accreditations in the business, again. Continuing our long running streak of excellence, the firm has once again been reaccredited with not only Cyber Essentials but the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and the prestigious Lexcel Legal Practice Quality Mark, showing our determination to providing excellent service and client care even during these extremely difficult times.

Celebrate top form

Cyber Essentials is an official government backed certification operated by the National Cyber Security Centre which shows Murray Hills commitment to cyber security and keeping your data safe. To obtain the accreditation firms must show that they guard against the most common cyber threats and mitigate the risk of these to protect their clients, which in this modern age is growing ever more important.

Keith Murray, Managing Director said
“Information technology can help move a transaction along at a quicker pace than methods previously used in the past, but at the same time we have to be respectful of the information provided and do all we can to protect it from cyber threats. We provide our staff with training and keep up to date with the latest information to deliver the best knowledge we can to our staff enabling them to know the risks and be aware of the range of cyber-attacks. By continuing to reassess, update and maintain our Cyber Essentials accreditation we hope that our clients can see we are doing all we can to protect their data.”

Lexcel is The Law Society’s top accolade and Murray Hills have secured this for another year. Lexcel is a legal practice quality mark for excellent in legal practice management and client care and to maintain the same we have to undergo a rigorous application and assessment process including background checks and an on-site visit from an independent experienced & trained Lexcel assessor. In 2020, of course, the on-site visit was not possible so to keep everyone safe, including the assessor, this was carried out using video call and other safe data transfer mediums, this included the staff interviews and procedures inspection making for a unique and in many cases longer process as there was no travel time.

Keith Murray added
“It is the dedication of our staff to excellent client care and best practise that makes achieving Lexcel possible and hopefully shows clients that Murray Hills Solicitors have their best interests at heart and run an efficient well managed practice enabling us to provide a very high standard of care and service.”

As well as both of the above accreditations Murry Hills have also maintained The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) which is a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing (property law) practices. It is designed to show that a firm does its best to make the conveyancing process transparent, efficient and a better experience for the client. We set out each step to minimise stress, have dedicated teams to guide you through the transaction and the skills to provide quality residential conveyancing advice and services to you.

Alexa Cartledge, Solicitor and Director added
“We are very happy to have maintained these three top accreditations and shown that despite the current unprecedented times Murray Hills are still striving for excellence and providing a professional legal service to the town”
