We at Murray Hills Solicitors Ltd want to do everything in our power to ensure your Will can be easily located upon your death, to assist your loved ones at a difficult time and guarantee your last wishes are made known.
Traditionally, Solicitors hoped a copy of your Will held at home would be enough to alert your loved ones of the existence and location of your Last Will and Testament upon your death.
This has shown to be an ineffective and uncertain method through many cases heard at court over the years of estates being administered under the rules of intestacy where a Will has been made but not found and estates being administered using an old Will when a new Will has been made but not found.
A lot of solicitors are still relying upon this chancy method and a recent survey showed that 67% of people questioned did not know where to find their parents’ Wills.
Do you know for certain where your original Will is now held?
We at Murray Hills Solicitors Ltd now offer a
Will Registration service at
no cost to you
to ensure that your Will can be easily located upon your death.
Whether your will has been prepared by us or not, we are willing to store your original Will and update the National Will Register at no cost to you to show that it is held by us.
We will not show a copy of your Will to anyone or send the original Will away. The National Will Register simply records the existence and location of your Last Will and Testament to assist your loved ones.
The National Will Register keeps this information completely confidential during your lifetime. Once you have passed away, the National Will Register will tell us if someone is looking for your Will and we will make contact with them directly.
There are currently around 5 million Wills registered on the National Will Register and this figure is steadily increasing as more and more solicitors are realising the benefits of Will Registration.
Do not leave it to chance, make or register your existing Will with us today!
