Every year we choose a charity to support and in 2018 this was Bridlington Salvation Army based on Wellington Road.
The Salvation Army is at the heart of the community in Bridlington, dedicated to caring for people who are vulnerable or in need, offering compassionate support, a listening ear and practical help. Not only can people expect a warm welcome, there is an opportunity to attend church services or take part in the community programme that supports people experiencing isolation and homelessness.
Mr Keith Murray, managing Director of Murray Hills said
““Every year we choose a local charity or organisation that benefits the community and do our best to assist them with their fund raising and awareness. In 2018 we chose The Salvation Army in Bridlington and we have been proud to help them throughout the year”
Adam Biglin from Murray Hills attended the Salvation Army and offered free legal advice in his specialist areas of Wills, Probate and Power of Attorney every Tuesday together with support for volunteers throughout the year.
“I was extremely excited to interact with the local community and provide support and guidance to members of society who may not otherwise seek such help and I thank everyone that came along to see me throughout the year.”
As well as providing support and guidance in legal matters Murray Hills also raised funds throughout the year and were able to presented the Bridlington Salvation Army with a cheque for £1,200.00
Bridlington Salvation Army’s church leader, Territorial Envoy David Robinson, said:
“Every week The Salvation Army provides a warm welcome to the community in Bridlington, offering a safe space for people to meet, activities that help break through isolation and support to people in crisis moments.”
“Over the past year, we’ve been grateful to Murray Hills Solicitors for providing our community with a weekly drop-in legal advice session from our church and fundraising on our behalf so we can continue to provide practical assistance when it’s needed most.”
Keith Murray added
“We are very happy to have been able to provide the Salvation Army with this donation and thank them for all the work they do throughout the year, every year for our local community”
