The first duty of Government is the defence of the realm. Our Armed Forces fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the Government, sacrificing some civilian freedoms, facing danger and, sometimes, suffering serious injury or death as a result of their duty.
First introduced in 2011 The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces are treated fairly.
Murray Hills Solicitors were the first business in Bridlington to sign the Armed Forces Covenant
showing our commitment and respect for the
Armed Forces community.
Director Alex Cartledge said
“It means a lot to us here at Murray Hills Solicitors to sign the covenant as it formalises our on-going commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community. It has always been so important for us to give something back to those service men and woman who do, or have done, so much for us”
As part of that commitment we offer discounts across our services to members of the armed forces community and our managing Director was part of this years remembrance parade laying our companies wreath at the war memorial on Wellington Road, Bridlington.
The event took a slightly different turn this year to mark the centenary of the end of World War I with many events coming together to remember including parade, remembrance service, beacons of light, roll call and bells ringing our peace from the Priory Church. We were honoured and humbled to be part of the service.
