Conveyancer / Solicitor

This is an opportunity for an experienced property Solicitor/Conveyancer who has experience in managing a caseload of their own, to work with the existing team, build, expand and develop the residential and commercial property departments and maintain the high standard of professionalism our clients command.
As a property fee earner, you will handle a varied caseload whilst providing clients with high quality advice and excellent client service. Matters will vary but will include majority residential property with Landlord and Tenant matters, commercial leases and development matters in the mix.

You will be required to have excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
You will be expected to take an active role in networking and business development to generate new clients and contacts as well as maintaining current relationships.
Previous experience of dealing with a range of property matters is essential.
The position is full time

Legal Cashier

 
Are you an experienced Legal Cashier seeking a great new opportunity on the Yorkshire coast?
We are looking for a new member for our existing friendly and professional accounts team to work part time 3 days a week in our busy Bridlington office.
Your role will be to ensure the day to day transactions are processed accurately in line with the Solicitors Account Rules. You will be required to work independently as well as part of a team and general duties will include but not limited to:-
• Daily management of accounts
• Good knowledge of SAR
• Accurately processing day to day transactions
• Daily review & allocation of bank statement entries
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit control
• VAT returns
• Raising Invoices and posting invoices
• Managing billing levels with fee earners
• Cash Flow
A successful candidate must have experience as a legal cashier as well as a good knowledge and understanding of the Solicitor Account Rules and the following key qualities:-
• Possess solid legal cashier experience
• Good SAR Knowledge
• Strong IT Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work to deadlines
• Able to multitask

We are looking for a fully competent, passionate and enthusiastic candidate for our legal secretary position to work with the conveyancing departments existing team in our Bridlington branch, opening new matter files, preparing pack backs, contacting clients, filing, typing and undertaking general administration duties.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, professional, self-motivated and able to undertake a variety of legal secretary tasks working diligently under pressure. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Onsite training will be provided and a friendly, approachable and motivated candidate is required to work closely with the existing team.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
• Sorting and distributing communications in a timely manner
• Assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
• Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
• Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
• Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues
• Communicate with clients in a professional, polite and appropriate manner
• Providing administrative support to the fee earning Solicitor
• Type up, scan, copy and file basic legal documents and correspondence
• Opening new matter files
• Communicating with clients using various mediums including telephone and email
